Job summary

DBI Consultants in Houston is seeking a Project Manager II to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of building consulting projects. You will evaluate damaged structures, craft a scope of repair, and develop cost projections while coordinating with clients, staff, and consultants.

The role requires 5–7 years in construction/restoration or property insurance fields, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, travel up to 25% of the workweek, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience within construction, restoration, and/or property insurance related fields.
• Ability to travel +/- 25% of the workweek.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets, estimates, and proposals across lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus formats.
• Manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to meet delivery commitments.
• Lead and manage a small team on low to medium complex projects.
• Organize project teams and maintain relationships with staff, consultants, and clients.
• Identify risk exposures and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.
• Ensure flow of project information is maintained and documented.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information and exercise sound judgment.
