Job summary

Paul Davis of Pittsburgh is seeking a Restoration Estimator to join our team. You will write detailed restoration and remodeling estimates using Xactimate and Symbility, collaborating with owners, adjusters, and project managers after fire or flood events.

You will conduct on-site inspections, communicate pricing and scope with insurance adjusters, document with photos and measurements, and ensure compliance with carrier guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience writing estimates for restoration projects (fire and water damage) and remodeling.
• Strong proficiency in Xactimate and Symbility is a must.
• Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed restoration estimates using Xactimate and Symbility.
• Prepare estimates for both restoration and remodeling projects.
• Clearly communicate expectations with project manager and adjuster, onsite as needed.
• Perform on-site inspections to develop an accurate scope of work.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding pricing, scope, and revisions.
• Document with photos, measurements, and detailed notes to support estimates.
• Ensure estimates comply with insurance carrier guidelines and industry standards.

Overview:

Restoration Estimators work with owners, adjusters, and Project Managers after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to repair damage to residential and commercial property. As a RE, you will build relationships with insurance professionals and communicate with property owners the expectations to build the structure back to its original form.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: The physical environment requires the employee to work all types of both indoor and outdoor conditions.
