Job summary

Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a Field Estimator to prepare scopes and estimates for reconstruction and emergency services on site. You will scope losses, create estimates with Xactimate or Symbility, and collaborate with homeowners, insurers, and teams to secure projects.

The role requires meeting service standards, maintaining profit margins, and adhering to safety programs while delivering exceptional customer service in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with estimating software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to conduct onsite inspections and scope generation.
• Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment.
• Estimate each loss using estimating software (Xactimate or Symbility).
• Build and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPAs.
• Represent Paul Davis with high standards of customer service.

Field Estimator

The Field Estimator is responsible for preparing scopes and estimates for reconstruction and emergency services on site. The Field Estimator’s primary responsibilities are to scope losses, create estimates using estimating software, and secure the project.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Meet with home and property owners to conduct onsite inspections and scope generation.
• Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment
• Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.
• Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). Train on such software as needed.
• Work closely with insured and interested parties to obtain agreement and close opportunity.
• Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
• Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.
• Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPA’s.
• Responsible for being the first contact for homeowners when participating in the on-call rotation.
• Responsibility for adhering to the PDO Health & Safety Program.
• Represent the Paul Davis name to the highest standards of customer service
• All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with estimating software

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Industry certifications (IICRC and Lead)
• Experience with writing estimates in Xactimate and Symbility

Physical Requirement

• Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
• The person in this position needs to frequently move about a customer job site (indoors and outdoors)
• Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to service customer sites
• Constantly operates a computer
• Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
• Occasionally will lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
