Job summary

Paths is a full-scale, vertically integrated affordable housing developer, builder, and operator based in the United States. The Property Controller oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls for a residential real estate portfolio, partnering with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

The role leads accounting staff, enhances systems and procedures, and provides financial guidance to property management teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum 7 years of accounting/financial management experience, including 4 years in residential real estate property management.
Strong US GAAP knowledge; proficient Excel; Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting for portfolios.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff; drive continuous improvement and process automation.
Enhance accounting systems and internal controls to safeguard assets.
