Job summary

Greystar in Washington, DC is seeking a proactive Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a multifamily community. You will lead the on-site team, manage budgets and revenue strategies, and ensure compliance with housing laws and company policies.

Responsibilities include budgeting input, rent setting, approving invoices, and driving leasing and marketing efforts to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Strong leadership and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4–6 years minimum property management, sales, marketing, and customer service background.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Input into budgets by analyzing financial statements and Marketing data.
• Set rent rates to meet revenue targets and post rent/fees in a timely manner.
• Approve invoices and manage communications between vendors, accounting, and owners.
• Control expenditures within the approved budget and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, inspections, notices, and renewals.
• Analyze market trends and implement marketing and leasing strategies to meet occupancy targets.
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and coordinating maintenance standards.
• Supervise staff, hire/train employees, and manage performance.
• Assist in managing owner relationships and prepare performance updates.
