Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Community Manager to oversee on-site property management, leasing and staff leadership across the community. You will supervise employees, manage budgets, and ensure property maintenance and resident satisfaction in a dynamic multifamily environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property management (multifamily), leasing experience, and a background in accounting or administration.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in multi-family residential property management with supervisory responsibility.
• Multi-family leasing experience required.
• Accounting/financial and administrative background preferred.
• Tax Credit, Section 8 and/or Public housing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all property staff, ensuring safety and performance.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
• Schedule staff and manage time off requests.
• Train staff in safety procedures and report accidents.
• Design and execute marketing campaigns for leasing; process leases.
• Ensure residents meet compliance and eligibility; address issues.
• Assist in budgeting and financial reporting; manage cash controls.
• Supervise contractors; negotiate contracts and ensure deadlines.
• Coordinate move-ins/outs and inspections.
• Maintain resident relations and service provider partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws; obtain required certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
