Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to handle investigations, estimates, and settlements within a designated territory. The role requires daily travel to inspect losses and collaboration with agents and district managers.

The position operates from a home office and offers company car and equipment to support travel. You will work closely with the claims supervisor and may join Catastrophe Team for major events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field and two years of claims handling experience, or
• High School Diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigations, interviews, and inspects damage within assigned territory.
• Sets reserves, reviews reports, and negotiates claims with attorneys when necessary.
• Documents claim files and submits reports for closure.
• Manages subrogation situations and initiates appropriate action.
• Serves on Catastrophe Team when required.
• Travels regularly to conduct property inspections and collaborate with Agents and district managers.
