Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Contents Desk Adjuster in Michigan to handle property and casualty claims valued up to $15,000. You will evaluate coverage, conduct investigations, interview claimants, and negotiate settlements efficiently using available technology.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), a state adjuster license, and 3 years of related experience. Guidance for potential litigation and reserving will be part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation within 12–18 months.
• State adjuster license is required.
• Three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates policies, forms, endorsements and records to determine coverage.
• Conducts investigations and reviews reports, police/hospital records, and inspections.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses and documents information.
• Estimates cost of repair or compensation and negotiates settlements.
• Prepares findings, issues settlements, and handles regulatory documents and salvage.
