Our community is home to both veterans who have experienced homelessness and adults living with physical or cognitive disabilities. We are seeking a full time Property Caretaker to perform general cleaning and maintenance of our multi-unit housing building.

2-bedroom caretaker unit available (not required) RENT FREE!!

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work
• Perform a variety of administrative duties such as an inventory of supplies, completing move out inspections, showing vacant units to prospective residents as needed
• Perform snow removal services related to property sidewalk requirements and all building entrances/exits
• Perform lawn care services, including mowing, trimming, and cleanup of all exterior spaces

Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills in English, including both oral and written forms
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals with disabilities.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• A minimum of one year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
