Job summary

Washington County is seeking a GIS Analyst to join the GIS/Cartography team within Assessment and Taxation. You will analyze land records, create and edit taxlot maps in ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and help keep ownership and boundary information accurate for property taxation, emergency response, and public inquiries.

Ideal candidates have GIS experience with land records, strong attention to detail, and enjoy helping customers.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 2+ years GIS experience, or 4+ years GIS experience.
• Experience with land records, deeds, surveys, or plats.
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze land records and determine property boundaries.
• Create and edit taxlot maps in ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
• Assist customers with boundary, ownership, and jurisdiction questions.
• Research complex property history and explain actions to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with Recording, Property Tax Collections, and County Surveyor's office.
