Job summary

The Piedmont Raleigh, a Van Metre residential property in Raleigh, NC, seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support leasing, collections, resident relations, and daily operations. You report to the Property Manager and work across leasing, collections, resident relations, and general property support.

A typical week includes greeting prospective residents, processing leases for qualified applicants, handling delinquency tasks, inspecting make-ready units, coordinating maintenance, and

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of residential property management experience.
• Demonstrated sales and customer service background.
• Comfortable with Yardi or comparable property management software, plus Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across different audiences.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
• Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
• Genuinely detail-oriented, especially around financial records and resident ledgers.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, walk them through available units and execute leases with qualified applicants.
• Handle delinquency reports, contact residents about overdue balances, and reconcile deposits.
• Inspect vacant units to confirm make-ready status and follow up on maintenance requests.
• Prepare a market survey for the Property Manager and assist with resident events and communications.
• Assist with planning and executing resident events and respond to complaints with care and professionalism.
• Process eviction steps when collections efforts fail, maintaining accuracy and composure.
