Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Property Accountant in Houston, TX to support a portfolio of 11 commercial properties. You will handle AP/AR transactions, review invoices, post rent payments, and help property managers and senior leadership maintain accurate records.

The role requires 2+ years of AP/AR or property accounting, and proficiency with Yardi or MRI. Onsite position with strong benefits and potential for bonus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AP/AR or property accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Yardi or MRI (required).
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process ~100 monthly AP/AR transactions across multiple properties.
• Review and verify invoices, code expenses, and prepare weekly payments using AvidXchange and MRI.
• Post tenant rent checks and ACH payments into MRI.
• Audit credit card charges and employee expense reports.
• Handle intercompany billing, deposits, and maintain 1099 records.
• Assist property managers with invoice/ledger research.
• Provide administrative support to the VP of Accounting.
