Job summary

Housing Kitsap is seeking a Property Accountant to maintain accounts payable and assist with financial reporting. The role supports the Senior AP Accountant and Controller in ensuring data accuracy, timely payments, and strong internal controls.

The position requires a 4-year degree and 2+ years of GL/Journals experience, with advanced Excel skills. On-site work in Silverdale, WA, offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision and retirement programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile accounts payables; review balances for accuracy.
• Process weekly AP charges and prepaid expenses; ensure timely posting.
• Post uploads from subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger; assist with reports.
• Assist staff in understanding financial reports and monthly activity.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure accurate financial statements and timely filings.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal accounting procedures.
