Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Transitions Property Accountant to support onboarding and disposition of properties within the Property Accounting function. You will ensure proper setup for takeover properties and wind down books through disposition.

The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with the Transition & Due Diligence team, while working in a hybrid office environment four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of property management experience.
• Proficiency with Yardi, Entrata or RealPage/Onesite preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management and Adobe products.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain takeover and disposition checklists, and complete tasks on time.
• Attend takeover and disposition calls with the Transition & Due Diligence Team.
• Prepare acquisition journal entries, sale prorations and post-close true ups.
• Reconcile opening A/R, Prepaid Rent and Security Deposit balances.
• Assist with mapping GL accounts for history uploads or custom trees.
• Wire mortgage payments for takeover properties and set up auto-ACH with lenders.
• Assist with Yardi/One Site build for takeovers and dispositions.
• Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations for disposed properties.
• Collaborate with Property Accounting Team to resolve issues.
• Present information to managers, customers and the public; answer questions.
