Job summary

Allied Residential, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead our property accounting function in Washington state. The role reports to the Controller and supervises property Accountants, ensuring timely monthly closes and accurate owner reporting.

This hands-on leadership position mentors staff, reviews detailed work, improves workflows in Yardi, and collaborates with operations to resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including property management accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience with Yardi property management accounting software (required).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop assigned property Accountants; maintain quality and deadlines.
• Review monthly property financial statements, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Provide hands-on accounting support during PTO, vacancies, and workload spikes.
