Job summary

CDP is seeking an accounting professional in the United States (Maryland/Columbia) to manage books for an assigned property portfolio and perform month-end close activities. The role includes recording journal entries, preparing variance analyses, and maintaining internal controls.

You will interact with Property Management to review results and assist with budgets and forecasts. Required: Bachelor's in accounting or related field; 1–3 years’ accounting experience; CPA/Candidate preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books and records for assigned properties.
• Perform month-end close activities for the portfolio.
• Record journal entries including rental revenue, CAM accrual and tenant billings; record operating expense accruals.
• Prepare variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecasts.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for review.
• Ensure internal controls are maintained.
• Collaborate with Property Management teams to review financial results and update forecasts.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts with Portfolio Controller.
• Monitor PO activity and vendor invoices for timely payment and proper coding.
• Participate in annual operating expense true-up for tenants.
