Job summary

A private real estate investment firm in Seattle is seeking a Property Accountant to prepare financial reports, conduct reconciliations, and manage accounts payable and receivable. Ideal candidates will have experience in property management accounting, a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, and proficiency in Excel. Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for multiple properties.
• Ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with property managers for accurate month-end activities.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Review accounts payable for accuracy and process payments.
• Assist auditors at year-end.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for multiple properties
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Work with property managers to ensure activities are recorded accurately for month end
• Prepare journal entries and ensure general ledger activity is accurate
• Review AP for accuracy and process vendor payments
• Work with auditors at year end
• Other assigned duties as needed
• Property management accounting experience preferred (GL, AR, AP and monthly reporting)
• Experience with Yardi a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or related field preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
