Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, variance analyses, and GL reconciliations.
• Manage upper and lower-tier entities within property structures, including initial REIT testing where applicable.
• Prepare cash distribution worksheets to assess partner distributions.
• Develop and maintain annual property budgets, collaborating with external auditors for year-end reviews.
• Work directly with tenants and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain GAAP and tax reporting for complex properties.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Property Accountant to manage a portfolio of properties, including both complex, staffed properties and smaller, straightforward properties. This role will oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting, with some reports reviewed by a manager while others are issued independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, variance analyses, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage both upper and lower-tier entities within property structures, including initial REIT testing where applicable.
• Prepare cash distribution worksheets to assess partner distributions.
• Develop and maintain annual property budgets, collaborating with external auditors for year-end reviews.
