Job summary

Schochet is seeking a Property Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in Braintree, MA. You will maintain the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations for a portfolio of properties, and assist with monthly financials and year-end workpapers.

The role involves coordinating month-end close with site managers, helping with budget preparation, and ensuring accurate reporting. On-site 5 days per week in Braintree, MA.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Prior property accounting experience is a plus.
• BS degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and bank reconciles for a portfolio of properties.
• Prepare year-end workpaper packages and monthly financial statements; assist with budget prep and coordinate month-end close with site managers.
