Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing partners with a nonprofit real estate group to fill a Property Accountant position in Boston. The role will manage accounting for 25+ properties and oversee month-end close, coordinating with AP/AR and finance teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in property accounting (or 1+ year as Property Accountant), a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and strong Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); Yardi experience is a plus. This is a full-time onsite opportunity in Boston.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in an Accounting Assistant role in property accounting or 1+ year as a Property Accountant
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or experience equivalent (+4 years)
• Experience with Yardi is a plus
• Intermediate Excel skills required including pivot tables and vlookups

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all accounting functions for 25+ properties, including owning month-end close
• Interface with managers of business units, production facility staff, and the corporate finance staff
• Coordinate with the AP team to make sure all invoices are paid and properly sorted in the system
• Partner with the AR team to reconcile revenue
• Assist with year-end audits, preparing State and Federal cost reports and other regulatory filings
