Scott Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Propane Technician to join our team. This full-time role combines propane service and installation, equipment maintenance, customer service, and propane delivery across varied job sites.

You will move between service and delivery tasks as needed, provide safe, high-quality workmanship, and support a professional, team-oriented work environment. A valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Experience in pipe fitting, plumbing, gas installation, equipment maintenance, HVAC, or related field preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain installer license through Arkansas LP Gas Board.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to continually learn and improve.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service calls and delivery work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Perform pipe fitting and gas-plumbing installations, repairs, remodels, and new construction.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain interior and exterior gas piping and propane systems.
  • Maintain and repair company equipment, including pumps, meters, and related systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine solutions.
  • Safely operate service trucks, propane bobtails, and other vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked service truck.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation on time.
  • Coordinate with technicians, drivers, office personnel, and management to maintain workflow.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, protect property, and keep sites clean and safe.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold teamwork and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Propane Technician to join our team. This full-time position combines propane service and installation work, equipment maintenance, customer service, and propane delivery.

Technicians move between service and delivery responsibilities as operational needs require. The ideal candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, work safely, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to a professional and positive team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned service calls and delivery work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Perform pipe fitting and gas-plumbing work, including tank-to-house installations, repairs, remodels, and new construction.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain interior and exterior gas piping and related propane systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, including pumps, meters, and related systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine the appropriate solution.
  • Safely operate service trucks, propane bobtails, and other company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service truck.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with technicians, drivers, office personnel, and management to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, protect their property, and leave each jobsite clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Represent the company professionally and help maintain a workplace founded on respect, teamwork, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Inspect work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment and promptly report hazards or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License with the required endorsements and a safe driving record.
  • Follow all applicable traffic, transportation, and workplace-safety requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain all required state licenses and certifications.

Working Conditions

  • Must be willing to work extended hours when required by workload, seasonal demand, emergencies, or severe winter weather.
  • Scheduling flexibility and a strong commitment to customer service are especially important during the winter season.
Employment Information

This is a full-time position beginning with a 90-day probationary period. Permanent employment may be available to the right individual following successful completion of that period.
