Job summary

Ergon Inc. in Ranburne, AL is seeking a Propane Service Technician to install, maintain and repair propane systems and appliances, ensuring safety and code compliance while assisting customers and supporting deliveries and operations as needed.

You'll work under the Branch Manager in a safety‑first, team‑oriented environment, handling service requests, diagnosing issues, and providing reliable, courteous service to homes and businesses across the region.

Qualifications

• CDL with Hazmat & Tanker license or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with gas systems or mechanical work preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to lift 60+ lbs and work in all weather.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair propane systems and appliances.
• Set tanks, run lines, and perform leak checks.
• Work with customers to solve issues.
• Stay compliant with codes and regulations.
• Assist with deliveries and yard work as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.

Job Summary

A Progas Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing propane systems and appliances, ensuring safety and code compliance, assisting customers with service needs, and supporting deliveries and general operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair propane systems and appliances which may include working underneath houses, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
• Set tanks, run lines, and perform leak checks
• Work with customers to solve issues and answer questions
• Stay safe and follow all codes and regulations
• Help with deliveries and yard work when needed
• Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed
