Job summary

Heller’s Gas, Inc. is seeking a Yard Technician to inspect and fill portable propane tanks and perform maintenance on propane tanks and equipment. This full-time role operates primarily outdoors with some travel as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with relevant experience preferred. Employees may need a clean driving record, background checks, and pre-employment/random drug testing. Safety and customer service are core aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and fills portable propane tanks
• Maintains, repairs, and refurbishes propane tanks and equipment
• Performs maintenance of outdoor tank storage areas
• Understands applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes pertaining to tank maintenance
• Acts as liaison between customers and service branches to address questions or concerns
• Educates customers on safe operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
