Job summary

Kent Oil & Propane is seeking a propane technician to install tanks and service propane systems in a Michigan-based operation. You will follow NFPA standards, complete required state licensing, and participate in safety and onboarding training.

This role includes on-call shifts and outdoor work in varied weather conditions. The position requires a Class A/B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and a commitment to accuracy in service orders and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Class A or B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements or ability to obtain quickly.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Outdoor work and after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install propane tanks and related equipment in compliance with NFPA 58/54 and regulations.
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing daily.
• Provide seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle when needed.
• Shadow a senior technician during onboarding to learn safety and installation methods.
• Maintain truck with DVIR and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Report incidents or safety concerns to the General Manager immediately.
