Job summary

Dassel's Petroleum, Inc. in Hollister, CA is seeking a Service Technician to install propane tanks and related equipment in compliance with NFPA standards and regulations.

You will complete licensing, certifications, and ongoing training, while performing daily vehicle inspections and maintaining your truck in top condition. You’ll handle service orders, documentation, and parts billing, with seasonal delivery support as needed.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• TSA Clearance for Hazardous Materials.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions; after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install propane tanks and related equipment following NFPA 58/54 and state/local regs.
• Complete required licensing, certifications, and ongoing training.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain truck in good condition.
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing daily.
• Provide seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle as needed.
• Report incidents or safety concerns immediately to the General Manager.
• Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
