Job summary

Parker Gas Co. Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking a talented service technician apprentice to join our team. You will assist in the installation and maintenance of propane systems while delivering safe, reliable service to customers.

This family-owned company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement. A CDL with Hazmat and clean MVR are preferred; 3-5 years’ experience with gas or mechanical systems is beneficial; our team values safety and customer care.

Qualifications

• Customer oriented approach to service delivery.
• 3-5 years’ experience troubleshooting various mechanical systems (gas products, HVAC).
• Must be safety conscious and adhere to codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is done safely by adhering to safety codes and regulations.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of propane systems, including setting tanks and piping.
• Assist in installing, repairing and servicing gas appliances.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Operate company vehicles safely.

We are looking for a talented service technician apprentice to join our Wilmington, NC team. If you would like to work for a reputable company providing great customer service, we want you!

Duties

• Ensure the work is done in a safe manner through strict adherence to safety codes and regulations.
• Assist in the Installation and maintenance of propane systems, including but not limited to, setting tanks, troubleshooting and running piping.
• Assist in stalling, repairing and servicing of gas appliances.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

• Ability to get CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Clean MVR
• Customer oriented
• 3-5 years’ experience troubleshooting various mechanical systems (for example Gas products, and HVAC).
• Previous experience working with gas is a plus.
