Job summary

Haffner’s in New England is seeking a full-time delivery driver to safely and efficiently deliver fuel oil, diesel, propane, and gasoline. The role includes pre-trip inspections, paperwork, and occasional fleet maintenance, with opportunities to assist in meter reading and site maintenance.

You’ll operate with strict safety standards, communicate with the office, and participate in regular safety meetings. A clean CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements is required.

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License with hazmat, tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Valid DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to drive a standard-shift transmission.
• Ability to pass company drug/alcohol tests and medical.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/overtime/on-call.
• Experience with DOT/HazMat/OSHA/FMCSA requirements.
• CETP propane delivery modules available/licensed.
• Proficient with Android tablets and web-based software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver distillates and propane safely as directed, following safety rules.
• Perform leak checks and relighting of propane appliances and oil starts.
• Maintain timely, respectful communication with office staff and managers.
• Inspect and maintain delivery trucks; complete pre-trip inspections and paperwork.
• Submit accurate reports and customer payments.
• Participate in safety and operations meetings and suggest process improvements.
• Assist in off-season tasks like fleet reconditioning and meter reading.
• Execute other duties as assigned by management.
