Job summary

Haffner's in New Hampshire is seeking a responsible delivery driver to safely and efficiently distribute energy products including fuel oil, diesel, gasoline, and propane. You may assist in meter reading, tank setting, fleet reconditioning, and facility maintenance during slower periods.

The role requires a CDL with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements, a DOT medical certificate, and a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of petroleum or propane delivery experience preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B, with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
• Valid DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to drive a standard-shift transmission.
• Ability to pass company-provided drug test, alcohol test, and physical.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on call shifts.
• Experience with regulatory agency requirements (e.g. DOT, HazMat, OSHA, FMCSA).
• Licensing and certifications as applicable (e.g. CETP delivery modules for propane).
• Proficient in the use of Android tablets and web-based software applications.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently delivers distillates and propane as directed by the distribution office team, observing safety practices.
• Performs leak checks and relighting of appliances (propane) and prime/starts (oil).
• Maintains daily respectful dialogue with office staff and managers.
• Inspects and maintains delivery trucks, including pre-trip inspections and paperwork.
• Maintains and submits accurate reports and customer payments.
• Participates in safety and operations meetings and supports safety strategy.
