Job summary

Blue Ridge Energy in North Carolina is seeking a motivated Propane and Fuels Service and Delivery Specialist to join our Ashe District team. You will deliver propane and other fuel products safely, support service work and installations, and provide excellent customer care.

This role offers cross-functional experience with propane/fuels and electric operations, a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call duties, and the opportunity to grow with our community-focused utility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NC Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, air brake, and tank endorsements.
• Experience in propane and oil delivery, service work, or related industry experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and other fuel products safely and efficiently to our customers. (Primary Role)
• Assist in propane service including tank and appliance installations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for new business while nurturing and retaining our existing customers.
• Participate in safety meetings and trainings to keep yourself and the team safe.
• Work alongside the Electric Operations team for six months of the year.
• Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with on-call responsibilities
