Job summary

Federated Co-ops, Inc. is seeking a safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver to load and deliver LP gas, install propane tanks, and assist with system maintenance for customers in Pine City, MN and nearby areas.

The role requires operating a tank truck, adhering to DOT regulations, and maintaining equipment while supporting sales efforts and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• CDL experience preferred and active license if possible
• Must have valid Driver's license
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer tanks following policy and procedures.
• Drive and operate truck safely, complying with DOT/regulations and codes.
• Perform tank setting, leak testing, and LP gas system maintenance as required by NFPA codes.
• Assist Sales with calls and potential sales targets.
• Maintain and paint LP gas tanks at company and customer locations.
• Inspect bulk facility, truck, and equipment for safety and cleanliness.
• Document all work per policy.
• Be available for on-call weeknights and weekends.

Job Location: Rock Creek Propane Plant - Pine City, MN 55063, Position Type: Full Time, Join Federated Co-ops, Inc. as a Propane Delivery Driver and enjoy the stability of a home-daily driving position while serving customers in your local community. We're looking for a safety-focused, dependable Propane Delivery Driver to work out of our Propane Plant. Responsibilities include driving a tank truck to deliver liquefied petroleum (LP) gas, install propane tanks, and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems at customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivery of product involves loading propane into the bulk truck and delivering into customers' storage tanks in accordance to company, division, and location policy and procedures.
• Drives and operates trucks, vehicles, equipment and tools safely and efficiently by following all current D.O.T. regulations, company policies, manufactures instructions, State and local laws and codes, and any other applicable laws, codes or regulations.
• Tank Setting, Leak Testing, Tank Management and Repairs for LP gas systems as required by NFPA codes and regulations.
• Assist Sales Department with calls and potential sales target areas.
• Maintains and paints LP gas tanks at company and customer locations.
• Inspect and maintain bulk facility, bulk truck and equipment continuously to ensure cleanliness, safety, proper operation and positive cooperative image.
• Documents all work as required by company, division, and location policy.
• Available and able to work on-call weeknights and weekends.
• Rail facility unloading duties if applicable to the location.

Qualifications: Requirements:

• Previous Propane and CDL experience is preferred
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
• Active CDL with endorsements preferred
• Able to obtain a Class B CDL License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move more than 50 pounds.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee will manually dig trenches to install LP gas lines. Employee will lift and carry cement blocks.

Wage Range

The wage range for this position is set at $20 - $30 / hour. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
