Lakes Gas Co in Kenosha, WI is a family owned propane provider with 65+ years of service. This local, small‑town feel persists at our 60+ locations as we hire a Delivery Driver with a Class B CDL and tanker/hazmat endorsements.

You'll deliver propane, cylinders, and tanks to residential and commercial sites while delivering exceptional customer service. Duties include vehicle inspections, equipment maintenance, and operating handheld tablets in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain)
• Clean driving record verified by FMV responsibility
• Pass DOT physical and maintain medical card
• Read/write/communicate in English
• Comply with federal drug/alcohol testing requirements
• Safety conscious and customer service oriented
• Operate/maintain handheld tablets
• Inspect vehicle and report maintenance needs
• DOT Hazmat Training every three years
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites.

This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first in class customer service. CDL candidates must possess a minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) and must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card. CDL candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude and good driving skills. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions. Additional duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Valid Class \"A\" or \"B\" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions


• A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report


• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card


• Must have the ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English Language


• Must be able to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements


• Qualified candidates will be safety conscious and customer service oriented


• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets


• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance


• DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years

Physical Demands:

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions


• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds


• Ability to pull delivery hose


• Must be able to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed


• Filling, loading, securing and delivering propane cylinders or bulk
