Job summary

Palmetto Gas Corp. in Sumter, SC is seeking a CDL delivery driver to join our propane service team.

You will load, transport, and deliver propane safely to residential and commercial customers, working with dispatch and technicians to ensure on-time service. The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs, and willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.
• Provide professional, courteous service at every customer location.
• Work collaboratively with service and dispatch teams to support operational goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work as business needs require.

Palmetto Gas is a propane company built by operators who understand what it takes to serve customers well. Our drivers work closely with service technicians, dispatch, and local leadership to deliver safe, on-time service while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Do in Your First 30 Days

• Complete onboarding, safety training, and ride‑alongs to learn EDP delivery routes and procedures
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (DDVIR) and document findings accurately
• Begin independent deliveries with support from dispatch and service teams
• Learn how we communicate with customers, handle after‑hours calls, and elevate service needs appropriately

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
