Lundy’s Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver to join the team. This role loads, transports and delivers propane cylinders to our commercial customers using a side load truck, while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

The candidate will perform vehicle inspections, maintain records, and ensure service reliability. A CDL with hazmat endorsements, a high school diploma, and propane experience are preferred but not

• CDL Class A or B with hazmat endorsements is required.
• Propane certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane cylinders to residential and commercial locations.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for transporting hazardous materials.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections, hours, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ensures delivery vehicle is maintained and reports issues to supervisor as needed.
• Adheres to all safety policies, regulations, and PPE requirements while performing duties.

This position is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering propane cylinders to our commercial customers using an exchange side load truck.Our drivers are committed to Service, Efficiency, and Safety.Duties/Responsibilities:Complies with all city, state, and federal regulationsLoads, secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial locationsProvides a high level of service to customersPerforms pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materialsMaintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulationsMaintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safetyEnsures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisorApplies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to testing and transporting bulk petroleum products to pipeline injection pointsPerforms other related duties as assignedCylinder Driver:Delivers cylinders of various sizes and picks up empty cylindersDelivered to all customers on a side load truck and unloading cylindersPerforms all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations, in addition to all safety and operations policies and procedures while utilizing all personal protective equipment (PPE)The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredClass A or B CDL license with hazmat endorsements requiredPropane certification (preferred but not required)No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years1+ years tanker experience within the last 5 years preferredSkills/Abilities:Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.Ability to maintain accurate logs and recordsAbility to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervisionMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving recordPhysical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift.Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shiftGood hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night.Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and armsMust be able to speak and hearPosition is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company providerMust pass pre-employment screeningPosition may require working evening hours and weekends as neededWork is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles and gases is common.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
