Job summary

Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is seeking a dependable Propane Delivery Driver for our Moncks Corner location. This role combines delivery duties with hands-on fieldwork, including installation and maintenance of propane systems as needed.

You will work with a safety-conscious team in a family-owned company. Responsibilities include operating delivery trucks, performing inspections, supporting technicians, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge preferred; physical tasks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in line with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with dispatch.
• Participate in on-call rotations and follow safety guidelines.

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver for our Moncks Corner location. This versatile position combines propane delivery with hands-on technical support, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of propane systems and equipment. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys both driving and fieldwork while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

• Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Assist experienced service technicians in installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane equipment and systems.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment to reflect professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and all state/federal transport regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A or B CDL (required), with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and manual transmission experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks.
• Willing to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and dispatch systems.
• Availability to work full-time hours, overtime, and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
