Job summary

Webster & Garner Inc. is seeking a professional CDL B driver to transport propane tankers to customer locations and perform related paperwork. You will drive in various conditions, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and adhere to DOT and company safety rules.

Responsibilities include delivering product, maintaining the truck, ensuring clear communication with the Transportation Manager, and providing courteous service to customers while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess a CDL B license with proper endorsements and medical card.
• Minimum of one year experience driving a large truck.
• Physically capable of loading/unloading Bobtail.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience driving in snow, ice and hazardous conditions.
• Provide three current job references.
• Able to withstand dust, fumes and high noise.
• Effective communication with Transportation Managers, co-workers and customers.
• Must read and understand road signs and routes.
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Company policies.
• Delivers product as instructed by Transportation Manager.
• Performs general maintenance on truck during shift including oil/fuel checks and pre/post-trip.
• Provides friendly, courteous, and professional service to customers.
• Keeps Transportation Manager informed of any issues, complaints, spills, leaks, incidents or injuries.
• Completes route efficiently and safely; informs Maintenance of vehicle problems.
• Ensures truck/cab are cleaned daily and paperwork is ready.
• Notifies DOT fines, citations, or issues to Transportation Manager and Logistics Team Leader.
