Job summary

ixolabs.ai is seeking a part-time Prompt Writer to craft precise instructions guiding AI models. Immediate start with ongoing, flexible projects, 15–25 hours per week, focused on clear and effective prompt design.

You will iteratively test prompts, refine them for accuracy, and contribute to a growing knowledge base with best practices and illustrated patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience in writing, editing or content creation, ideally technical.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for clear instructions.

As a Prompt Writer, you will be at the forefront of AI development, crafting the precise instructions that shape how advanced language models understand, generate, and respond to complex queries across a myriad of topics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and write highly specific, nuanced prompts and instruction sets to elicit desired AI behaviors and responses.
• Iteratively test and refine prompts to improve AI accuracy, coherence, and adherence to specific guidelines and styles.
• Develop diverse prompt categories, including creative writing, factual recall, problem-solving, and conversational scenarios.
• Analyze AI outputs to identify prompt weaknesses and areas for improvement in instruction clarity or constraint definition.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to understand model capabilities and limitations, translating these into effective prompt engineering strategies.
• Document prompt design patterns, best practices, and common pitfalls to contribute to a growing knowledge base.

Ideal Qualifications

• Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and rhetoric, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven experience in writing, editing, or content creation, ideally in a technical or instructional context.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deconstruct complex requests into clear instructions.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts or experience working with large language models (LLMs) is a significant advantage.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically about how to guide AI behavior through language.
• Experience with various writing styles and the ability to adapt tone and complexity for different AI tasks.
