Job summary

CUMULUS MEDIA Allentown, PA is seeking a Part-Time Promotions Technician & Board Operator to support programming and control room operations. The role requires reliability, flexibility, and a positive demeanor in a fast-paced radio environment.

The ideal candidate will handle console operations, schedule and play commercials, monitor weather/traffic/news, and assist with EAS alerts. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours are common, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous control console operation experience preferred.
• Audio production skills preferred.
• Ability to learn FCC rules and EAS guidelines.
• Proficient with computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and audio editing software.
• Familiar with audio mixers.
• Flexibility in scheduling; evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Run the console in the radio station control room for live or pre-recorded programs.
• Play commercials as scheduled and maintain a commercial and transmitter log.
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports.
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts and breaking news.
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Running the console in a radio station control room broadcasting a variety of live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs
• Playing all commercials as scheduled and maintaining a commercial and transmitter log
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Ambers Alerts and breaking news
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room

Qualifications:

• Proficient using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Audition or other audio editing software preferred
• Familiar with audio mixers preferred
• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of the hours are in the evenings, weekends and holidays

Pay Range

USD $14.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.
