Job summary

The Hickory Crawdads are seeking a Promotions and Entertainment Assistant as a full-time seasonal internship from February/March 2027 through September 2027. You will operate the videoboard, create in-game material, manage pressbox staff and edit video footage for game entertainment.

Assist in pre-game prep, theme nights, and community appearances, while aiding in promos, props, prizes, and contest management. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands.
• Able to lift/pull/push/carry up to 30 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, sit and walk for 6–8 hours.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate videoboard during games and manage pressbox staff to stay on script.
• Create in-game material and themed headshots using Photoshop templates.
• Manage video content and edit raw footage into organized clips.
• Assist promotions with pre-game prep, props, prizes, and slips.
• Contribute ideas for theme nights and in-between activities.
• Schedule and attend mascot appearances and promote events locally.
• Help with phones, ticket orders, walk-ins and community programs.
• Dress as mascot and participate in community events as needed.
