Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is seeking a Promotions Assistant to support development, planning and execution of casino promotions within a vibrant resort environment. You will coordinate with multiple departments to deliver engaging events and ensure promotional materials are prepared and secured.

The role requires strong guest relations, budget awareness and proficiency with MS Office. Prior casino promotions or events experience is preferred; a professional, team-focused

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or Event Management preferred.
  • Strong guest relations experience of at least two years required.
  • Three years in casino promotions, productions, public speaking or special events preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development, planning and implementation of promotions.
  • Execute promotions inside casino hotel and assist patrons participating in promotions.
  • Ensure areas are stocked with supplies and decorations; secure items after events.
  • Establish reports to monitor expenses vs. budget and take action as needed.
  • Collaborate with departments to disseminate event information and coordinate timelines.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of files and records.

Please visit www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits to see our full list of benefits!Job Description:Job Summary:Assists in the development, planning and implementation of promotions.Essential Job Functions:Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.Assists in the formulation of theme, format and budget specifications for specific promotions.Executes promotions inside casino hotel, assisting patrons participating in promotions.Ensures that promotion/event areas are stocked with necessary supplies, decorations and secures items at conclusion of promotion/event.Ensures collateral materials for promotions and events are displayed prior to and recovered at the conclusion of each project.Establishes reports and systems to monitor actual expenses compared to budget and take necessary action to meet budget guidelines.Assists management in disseminating information about events to all impacted operating departments.Interfaces with operating departments to ensure timely coordination of all events.Executes budgets for individual promotions, records expenditures, charts budget variances.Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records and lists.Qualifications:High School Diploma required or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. College degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or Event Management preferred. Strong guest relations experience of at least two years required. Three years relevant experience in casino environment, promotions, productions, public speaking, or special events strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel required.Work Environment:May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
