Job summary

PENN Entertainment in San Diego is seeking a Marketing Promotions coordinator to guide promotions staff and drive events. You will coordinate retail and direct mail promotions, entertainment acts, and VIP events while ensuring budget compliance and guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, 18+ years of age, and a marketing-related education. A dynamic, remote-friendly environment with growth opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of administrative or promotions experience required, preferably in Marketing.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and daily supervision to promotions staff in Marketing.
• Support operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives.
• Coordinate scheduling with management to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Develop and execute retail promotions, direct mail, entertainment acts and events while respecting the budget.
• Support the VP of Marketing and Marketing Manager as requested.
• Coordinate internal support and work with Graphic Designer on materials.
• Analyze effectiveness of promotions, events, entertainment, and VIP parties.
• Promote exceptional customer service and uphold standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues; maintain confidentiality.

• Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to promotions staff/function in the Marketing department.
• Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
• Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
• Develops, coordinates, and executes all retail promotions, direct mail promotions, regularly scheduled entertainment acts and special events to target retail and database customers while supporting compliance to departmental budget.
• Supports the efforts and projects of the VP of Marketing and/or Marketing Manager as requested.
• Coordinates internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainment for all appropriate departments; coordinates with Graphic Artist/Designer to properly fulfill all printed material requirements for promotions, special events, entertainment, and VIP parties.
• Analyzes the effectiveness and success of promotions, special events, entertainment and VIP parties.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
