Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain clean, safe living spaces for residents. Daily duties include floor and carpet care, cleaning public areas, stocking supplies, and assisting with event setup as directed by supervision.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least six months of floor/carpet care experience using rotary buffers and extracting machines. English communication is essential.
I. Position Summary: Provide daily cleaning based on company quality standards, including floor/carpet care to households and public areas. Set up for events and work on miscellaneous projects as directed by Supervisor. Stock housekeeping closets on floors and assists with inventory as needed.
Maintains cleanliness of households and public areas. Efficiently performs cleaning techniques based on industry standards, using equipment and supplies as trained.
The following list provides examples of specific cleaning tasks, but is not necessarily a complete list of areas to be cleaned:
Effectively communicates with residents, patients, families, and staff, and in a positive manner.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of 6 months of floor/carpet care experience using rotary buffer and extracting machine preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate using the English language.
Ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing (PPE), or safety equipment. Exposure to medical waste and occasionally unsanitary conditions, unpleasant odors, and hazardous (concentrated) chemicals. Some work performed inside; well ventilated and lighted areas. Some work performed outside in extreme weather conditions.
