Job summary

Noland Health Services is seeking a housekeeping associate to maintain cleanliness across facilities in Sylacauga, AL. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, carpet care, and trash removal to support safe, hygienic environments.

The role requires the ability to move throughout the workday, lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, and follow established cleaning protocols. On-the-job training will be provided, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50-100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets: vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting.
• Buff and refinish floors as needed with appropriate methods and finishes.
• Remove trash, clean entrances, and dispose of waste daily.
• Notify supervisor when equipment repairs are needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and comply with procedures.

Job description

Responsible for cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc.
• Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed.
• Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned.
• Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage and/or removal.
• Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, cleaning glass with cleaner, sweeping mats, etc.
• Notify supervisor when repairs to equipment are needed.
• Scrub and clean shower room daily.
• Clean assigned areas, pull trash, sweep, and spot mop floors.
• Remove biohazard containers and properly dispose of them daily.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Comply with policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No experience required. On-the-job training provided.
