Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor - Texas RPLS with 5+ years of progressive experience to join our team in our Austin or Dallas, TX office.

In this position, you will serve as a Project Surveyor working with our geospatial team, executing various public and private sector survey assignments. You will direct teams of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale public and private works improvement projects, while coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating with project managers, field crews, and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other discipline leads on scheduling objectives and project milestones.
  • Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and land surveys.
  • Proficiency in survey drafting/design software.
  • Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey-related documents as the responsible professional in charge.
  • Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and project deliverables.
  • Assist in the development and training of survey staff.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
  • 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Civil3D.
  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary surveying, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivision platting, legal research, etc.
  • Experience in boundary surveying, title research, project planning, etc.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Trimble Business Center.
