LJA Surveying in Phoenix is seeking a Project Surveyor to lead field operations, supervise drafting staff, and oversee deed and map research for diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Surveyor with active licensure.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive surveying experience.
• At least 2 years post-registration experience.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.
• Ability to supervise field operations, technical and drafting staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, technical and drafting staff, deed and map research, and project management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate survey data into project plans.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, total stations and 3D scanners to collect and analyze data.
• Perform boundary survey calculations, analysis, final map checking, and manage client relations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:As a Project Surveyor atLJA Surveying,you will be responsible for supervision of field operations, technical and drafting staff, deed and map research and project management.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Responsible for supervision of field operations, technical and drafting staff, deed and map research, and project management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate survey data into project plans.
• Use advanced equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, 3D scanners) and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to collect and analyze data
• Responsible for boundary survey calculations, analysis, and final map checking, abstracting title data, and client relations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Professional Licensed Surveyor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10 years of progressive experience in the industry
• 2+ years of experience after registration
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
