Job summary

Sundt Gmbh is seeking a Project Superintendent to work night shift, coordinating field operations and providing technical direction. You will plan labor, materials, and equipment, supervise safety,quality, and costs, and ensure the project meets schedule and profitability targets.

You will review shop drawings, coordinate with project teams, and lead weekly meetings. The role progresses through Superintendent I and II on larger projects, requiring strong communication and leadership for

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience required.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, negotiations, cost control, scheduling, and safety.
• Must have construction project and supervision experience in similar facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing shop drawings, submittals, change orders and POs.
• Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management process.
• Conducts weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors and prepares daily field status reports.
• Coordinates the documentation of constructability issues, potential design conflicts and clarifications with the appropriate personnel.
• Develops and manages the construction plan for the successful execution of the work performed.
• Ensures work is executed according to contract terms and conditions in a profitable manner.
• Interacts effectively with owners, teams and other stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and exceptional client experience.
• Manages field operations. Is responsible for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Prepares and updates the original CPM Project Schedule and ensures the schedule is kept current to manage the project appropriately while utilizing LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
• Prevent claims, identify potential claims, quantify, document, mitigate/resolve the effects of those that do occur on a timely basis.
• Provides leadership and guidance to assigned project team members and subcontractors. Plans, reviews, develops and manages the project team to ensure relentless execution of the project.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the Project Quality Management and Safety plans according to Sundt standards as part of the project management plan (PMP).
• Responsible for the timely completion of all punch lists and develops a schedule as required by the owner for the successful start-up and commissioning of all systems.

Job Summary

The Project Superintendent (PS) will work the night shift and plan, coordinate, and supervise the field and/or administrative operations of projects. They will provide technical direction and have responsibility for the safety, costs, productivity, profitability, and overall quality of the work (including self-performed work) for the project(s). The PS will establish productivity goals and measure performance as well as schedule labor, materials, and equipment, including the work of subcontractors and may supervise one or more field superintendents. This position includes several 'steps', which provide for a progression of skill and experience.

• Project Superintendent I is capable of less complex projects of $20 million and under with typically 3-5 years' experience in this position.
• Project Superintendent II is capable of medium scale projects of $20-$50 million in size with typically 5-10 years' experience.

Key Responsibilities
