This is a hands-on leadership role: you're on site, running the crew, coordinating equipment and barges, and making sure the work gets built safely, on schedule, and to spec. You'll report to the Site Manager and serve as the point person in the field for owners, subcontractors, and your own crews.

  • Understand contract language
  • Monitor personnel and recruiting capabilities
  • Attend and/or lead client meetings as necessary. Develop client relationships
  • Confer with management to resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce
  • Inspect work in progress — including pile driving, marine structures, and below-waterline work — to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules
  • Prepare and/or review reports on progress, material usage, and cost, and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports
  • Communicate and coordinate subcontractors, including marine trades and dive contractors, to operate at the highest level and meet Cajun's expectations
  • Coordinate equipment, barges, cranes, and marine support vessels to keep work sequenced efficiently
  • Plan around water levels, weather windows, and river/tidal conditions to protect schedule and safety
