The Role

Cajun Industries is looking for a Site Manager to lead overall site and project operations for inland marine construction work — docks, wharves, bulkheads, cofferdams, pile driving, marine terminals, and waterway/flood-control structures. This role owns the bigger picture: schedule and cost performance, client and ownership relationships, and site-wide safety and quality, while overseeing and supporting the Project Superintendents who run day-to-day field execution. You'll report to the Senior Construction Manager and serve as the senior field leader and primary point of contact for owners, clients, and Cajun leadership on your assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, support, and develop Project Superintendents and field leadership on assigned site(s)
  • Understand basic computer and software skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote)
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing Superintendents and other site leadership
  • Review resumes and conduct interviews to identify candidates for future leadership positions
  • Own schedule, manpower, equipment, and cost performance across the site/project portfolio
  • Monitor personnel and recruiting capabilities across the site
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and clients; build and maintain client relationships
  • Attend and/or lead client and stakeholder meetings
  • Confer with management to resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce
  • Monitor overall site safety performance and ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and regulatory standards
  • Review progress, cost, and productivity reports across projects; adjust site-level strategy and resource allocation as needed
  • Oversee subcontractor performance at the site level to meet Cajun's expectations
  • Coordinate equipment, barge, and marine resource allocation across multiple projects or crews as needed
  • Plan for site-level contingencies — weather, water levels, and logistics — across the project portfolio
  • Quality control oversight and accountability at the site level
  • Development of employees
Experience/Education
