Job summary

WELBRO Building Corporation is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field staff and subcontractors on industrial distribution-center projects. You will coordinate scheduling, procurement, and on-site safety while working with the Project Manager, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.

You will interface with Owners and design teams, ensuring cost-effective, timely construction. The initial assignment is in the Odessa area with a focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent training required.
• Six years as supervisor for a commercial GC; three years in industrial projects preferred.
• Ten years on commercial building projects or education projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field staff and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective construction.
• Coordinate daily scheduling, procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety management, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
• Represent the company with project stakeholders including Owner and Design team.
• Work initially in the Odessa area.

Job description

WELBRO Building Corporation has a long-term opportunity for a Project Superintendent who has experience with industrial projects, specifically distribution centers. The individual will oversee the activities of field staff and subcontractors to ensure the construction processes are executed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. Responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of construction efforts in coordination with Project Manager, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Engineers. Coordinates the day-to-day scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment for all work on the project. Ensure compliance with safety management program, environmental requirements and quality standards. Effectively represent WELBRO when interfacing with project stakeholders including the Owner and Design team. The initial work assignments is in the Odessa area.

• Associates degree or equivalent years of technical training
• Six (6) years experience in a supervisor role for a commercial general contractor; at least three (3) years of industrial project experience.
• Ten (10) years experience working on commercial building projects or education project experience preferred
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage field supervisors, craft employees, and subcontractors
• Well-rounded knowledge in all aspects of construction, but in-depth expertise in commercial buildings, craft activities, cost control, scheduling, and safety
• Proficient in technology project management software applications such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
• Physical demands include occasionally lifting up to 20lbs.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
