Job summary

WELBRO Building Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent for distribution-center projects in the Odessa area. You will oversee field staff and subcontractors, coordinating with the Project Manager, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Engineers to drive timely, safe, and cost-effective construction.

You will oversee day-to-day scheduling, procurement, and manpower/equipment needs, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent years of technical training.
• Six years supervision experience for a commercial general contractor; at least three years in industrial projects.
• Ten years experience on commercial building projects or education projects preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage field supervisors, craft workers, and subcontractors.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial construction, scheduling, cost control and safety.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field staff and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective construction.

Job description

WELBRO Building Corporation has a long-term opportunity for a Project Superintendent who has experience with industrial projects, specifically distribution centers. The individual will oversee the activities of field staff and subcontractors to ensure the construction processes are executed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. Responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of construction efforts in coordination with Project Manager, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Engineers. Coordinates the day-to-day scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment for all work on the project. Ensure compliance with safety management program, environmental requirements and quality standards. Effectively represent WELBRO when interfacing with project stakeholders including the Owner and Design team. The initial work assignments is in the Odessa area.

• Associates degree or equivalent years of technical training
• Six (6) years experience in a supervisor role for a commercial general contractor; at least three (3) years of industrial project experience.
• Ten (10) years experience working on commercial building projects or education project experience preferred
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage field supervisors, craft employees, and subcontractors
• Well-rounded knowledge in all aspects of construction, but in-depth expertise in commercial buildings, craft activities, cost control, scheduling, and safety
• Proficient in technology project management software applications such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
• Physical demands include occasionally lifting up to 20lbs.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
