Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in North Tampa Bay, Hernando County, Florida, seeks a Project Superintendent for a design-build highway and bridge project. You will manage field operations, supervise foremen and subcontractors, plan production, safety, schedule and budget, and coordinate with FDOT inspectors.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years of bridge/hwy construction, experience as superintendent on bridge jobs, FDOT contract knowledge, OSHA competency, and willingness to relocate to Central Florida.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction.
• Time as a superintendent running a bridge or interchange job.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA competent person.
• Clean driving record.
• Design build experience is a plus.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or ready to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and hold the crews to them.
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers.
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person.
• Work directly with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team.
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget.

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
